There are numerous ways for students or and members of the UW and local community to get involved with LAS. The LAS program encourages all people to get involved in supporting the LAS program our work on campus and the local community. Here's how you can help by playing a part:
As an interdisciplinary program at the UW, LAS relies on the work and cooperation of many faculty and departments to make our program work. LAS also relies on you to help support us financially. Your support is instrumental in supporting both our academic program, and the many services and opportunities that LAS provides to the greater UW, Seattle and Northwest communities. Donations support myriad events and services, including speaker and film series, acquisition of new media and research materials, student scholarships for research and study abroad, new program development and so much more.

Donations are 100% tax-deductible and 110% appreciated by our students and staff! Contributions can also be made by check - make your check out to the University of Washington, with "Latin American Studies" in the note field, and mail to our office. If you would like to designate your contribution for a specific program or use, please specify that when you make your contribution. Would you like to get involved in helping the LAS program and have a rewarding experience learning about our program and the University of Washington? Volunteers work on diverse projects including event planning and promotion, developing programs with community organizations, and assisting with research, our website, mentoring students and much more. LASevents is the e-newsletter of the UW Latin American Studies Program. LASevents is sent out bi-monthly and provided information about Latin America-related cultural, social, artistic and educational events, news and opportunities at the UW, in Seattle and around the Northwest.
