Faculty Grants

Applications for EU Center of Excellence faculty research awards are now being accepted from UW faculty for research in spring or summer of 2009. Applications should be submitted by February 6, 2009 for full consideration.

The European Union Center of Excellence at the University of Washington supports the academic study of the EU by providing research grants to UW faculty working on topics related to European integration. This year the center will provide one faculty grant up to a maximum of $5,000 to conduct EU-related research in Europe in the spring or summer of 2009. Applications are welcome from UW faculty in at all disciplines as long as the research proposal focuses on issues related to the European Union. Funding for faculty research grants is made possible by the new EU Center of Excellence grant from the European Commission.

Applicants for the EU Center of Excellence faculty research award should submit a brief (2-4 page) research proposal and a budget.
