General information

The University of Washington is located in the University District of Seattle, Washington.  The University District is home to a year-round farmers' market, an annual street fair, and a number of other attractions.

Language tables

A number of groups meet weekly or biweekly to develop language use skills by engaging in casual conversation.  These groups include:

• Bosnian, Croatian, and Serbian table
• Czech table
• Russian table
• Advanced Russian conversation group
• Ukrainian table

Summer events

• The Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences runs an annual Math Camp, designed to provide a one-week introduction to the mathematics necessary for success in a social sciences program.
• UW-IT runs a number of free workshops on computing-related topics.
