The Jackson School oversees the administration of four scholarship funds that provide financial support to unfunded or under-funded internationally-focused internships. Please visit the Internship Scholarship Information page for complete information regarding each fund, eligibility requirements and the application process.
Additionally, students may apply for the Wanamaker Scholarship through the JSIS Academic Scholarship Application process. Up to five $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year to support summer study or internship activity abroad. For application materials, please refer to the Academic Scholarship Application.
The application deadline for summer 2009 opportunities was April 10. Please check back in late February 2010 for the summer 2010 application timeline.
Each year, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace holds a rigorous national competition to select approximately 8-10 graduating seniors to serve as research assistants. They are matched with senior associates- academics, former government officials, lawyers, and journalists from around the world- to work on a variety of international affairs issues. Junior Fellows have the opportunity to conduct research for books, participate in meetings with high-level officials, contribute to congressional testimony and organize briefings attended by scholars, activists, journalists and government officials.
Junior Fellows spend one year (Beginning August 1st) at the Carnegie Endowment in Washington, D.C. Positions are full-time and include a salary and benefits package.
2010-2011 Program information is posted here.
NOTE: The UW Application deadline was 11/17/09, 5pm.
